Clean Industrial Deal<\/em>, organized by <strong>Fundaci\u00f3n Naturgy<\/strong>, was highly engaging.<\/p><p>It featured relevant experts from the energy and industrial sectors, including <strong>Rafael Villaseca<\/strong>, President of Fundaci\u00f3n Naturgy; <strong>Cristina Lobillo<\/strong>, Director of Energy Policy at the European Commission; <strong>Klaus-Dieter Borchardt<\/strong>, Senior Researcher at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies; <strong>Miguel Arias Ca\u00f1ete<\/strong>, former European Commissioner for Energy and Climate Action; and <strong>Carlos Reinoso<\/strong>, from the Alliance for the Competitiveness of Spanish Industry.<\/p><p>During the session, the challenges and opportunities presented by the <strong>Clean Industrial Deal<\/strong> for the energy transition and industrial competitiveness in Europe were discussed.<\/p><h2><strong>A Path to a More Sustainable and Competitive Europe<\/strong><\/h2><p>One of the core messages was the need to strengthen European industry, making it more resilient and competitive in a challenging global landscape. <strong>Cristina Lobillo<\/strong>, outlined three key goals of the <em>Clean Industrial Deal<\/em>:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Decarbonization<\/strong>, promoting renewable energy and emissions reduction.<\/li><li><strong>Mobilization of financial resources<\/strong>, creating incentives for private investment.<\/li><li><strong>Boosting competitiveness<\/strong>, addressing the energy cost gap between the EU and other regions like the U.S. and China.<\/li><\/ul><h2><strong>Electrification and Infrastructure: The Great Challenge<\/strong><\/h2><p><strong>Klaus-Dieter Borchardt<\/strong>, senior researcher at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, stressed that the lack of interconnections and grid digitalization is a major obstacle to decarbonization.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
