olivoENERGY participates in the Ecoweekend Festival in the Sierra de las Nieves

Our CEO Alicia Carrasco will give a talk on 'Conscious and sustainable energy consumption' in the framework of the micro-presentations on sustainability and climate change.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at olivoENERGY and what better way to show our commitment than by participating in the exciting Ecoweekend Festival, which will take place on September 23rd and 24th in the Sierra de las Nieves.

Alicia will give the talk ‘Conscious and sustainable energy consumption’ in the Green Room of the Cultural Center of Yunquera, which will host different micro-presentations on sustainability and climate change. The energy sector is key to the energy transition and in this talk we will explore how our daily decisions regarding energy consumption can impact the environment and our own lives. Incorporating new habits will allow us to play a key role in building a responsible and sustainable energy future for the benefit of generations to come.

“We will also discover how new business models in renewable energy are opening up a world of opportunities in the quest for a more sustainable and cleaner future. These models harness innovative technologies such as solar, wind or geothermal power to generate electricity in a more efficient and environmentally friendly way. And in addition to contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions, they attract investment and create jobs in the sector,” says Alicia.

The Ecoweekend is an annual celebration of sustainable innovation and environmental awareness. Promoted and developed in the province by the Diputación de Málaga through the Málaga+Viva community, offers a wide variety of activities and experiences.

One of the most rewarding aspects of our participation in the Ecoweekend Festival is the opportunity to connect with people and organizations that share our passion for sustainability. These connections inspire us and drive us to continue developing innovative sustainable solutions. Sustainability is not just a goal, but an ongoing journey.

We encourage you to attend these inspiring days where you can enjoy interpretive routes of the National Park, round tables, talks and dynamic and fun workshops on different environmental areas and a long list of proposals that the Multi Cultural Association Cre-Arte, organizer of the festival, has prepared for us.

Thanks for the invitation! We look forward to seeing you this weekend at the Ecoweekend Festival in Yunquera.
